How do I upload my website?
This page is created to help all website owners that have questions about uploading their sites. If you are looking for tips on uploading photo's or images to your site, please view this page! Depending on what site designer or website host that you use, your site may need uploaded.
For Office Live Websites, you do not need to upload your site. Once your account with Microsoft Office Live Small Business is active and you have started to design your site it is uploaded to the internet. An Office Live Site means that it is "Live" once you started your site creation. Live, meaning it is visible to internet users and search engines.
So for those officelive users who are asking, "where is the upload button for my site?" The answer is, there is no upload button. There is a "save" button. The save button is located at the top of the page editor. It says, save and has a little blue disk icon next to it. Your site will be uploaded when you save a webpage. From experience, my site is automatically saved when I close down my web page that I just edited or created. I do suggest hitting the saved button after each time you work on your website, just to be safe.
If you don't have an officelive website, you may have a upload button located within your site designer. You need to explore your site designer and page editor to find it. If you are unable to find an upload button, your site may also just need saved for it to be visible to internet users and search engines. I recommend you to contact your web host before closing your site down. You may also need to upload your site by uploading a file from another source. If this is the case, you also need to ask for help and support from your web host company. Different website creation companies have different development processes. There is not just one way to upload your site in all websites.
