Basic website steps and tips!
This page consists of basic steps and tips to building a website. After following these steps, you should have a well developed website. Before you get started on your website, grab a piece of paper or notebook to keep track of your login information. You will want to write down your signin name and password, so that when you come back to building your website you can easily login and continue your work.
From experience, I know that writing your website login information down is a very helpful tip when starting your website.
Below are the steps to take to build your basic and successful website!
Step 1- Choose a website host! If you don't have a website host yet, I recommend a free website host for you since many of you are just beginning to build websites! Microsoft office live is the most basic and easiest place to get started on a website. For those who don't know, a website host is a place to build and design your website. Step 2- Create your website! This is the step where you input all of your website information or content! You will also have a chance to arrange, add and edit your text to your website. Take your time on this step, there is always tomorrow! Rushing your information and contents only leads to more work later. Creating a well planned website, takes time and patience. Step 3- Design your website! There are a couple different options in designing your website: You can hire a website designer! This is where you hire an expert at graphic website design. Step 4- Submit your website to search engines!
This is where you submit your url (website address) to the search engines. View my contact us page to view a free submission site where you can submit your url to many search engines for free. At the top of our contact page, we have provided our viewers a link to submit their website for free. I know it works, I have used it for my websites. If you are asking yourself, "why do I have to submit my website?" then the answer is: Submiting your website allows search engines to find and rank your website for others to view.
