Microsoft Office Live Design Tips!

On your Microsoft Office live website, you have access to the site designer. The Site designer will allow you to design your website as you please. The Site Designer has different options at the top of your web page.

You can design your site zones via the Site Designer. Your site zones consists of designing your header and footer. The header is obviously the top of your website and the footer is the bottom of your website. Within the site zone, you can also choose where you want your webpages to be at. This is called your website's navigation. You can place your webpages down the left side, top, and then you can have your pages on both, top and left side.

You also have access to different design options. You can choose your theme, style, color and font of your web pages. With different design options available, you have to add your imagination to your website. Pick whatever suits you and or your business better.

Next to the design options within the site designer there is an advanced section. To be able to use the Advanced options via the site designer, you need to activate advanced design features. You can then make your site design options expand even larger. You can choose the size of your web site, you have the choice of removing the bing search box, and the choice to remove the powered by Microsoft office live logo.

Advanced design features also allow you to use css coding in your website. Within the style sheet option, you can  add css code to the box provided. Make sure you click the option of  "Apply css code to my web site." Without that box checked, you are unable to use css code. What do I use the css code for? I use the css code to take the bright blue box off of my hyperlinked images. What is hyperlinked images? They are images that are linked to different websites or web pages.

Via my links page, there is several advanced design websites made through office live. Office Live Solutions and Office Live Design Tips go into much greater detail on web design for MOL websites.
